On Feb 26th 2019, reporter Kang of SBS FunE published the first parts of the chat. At that time she called the chat "Seungri chat" despite she perfectly knew that it's the chat extracted from JJY's phone. When Seungri protested that the chat is fabricated, and he never said such words, it was revealed how Kang got that chat.

It was said that the chat was sent to lawyer Bang and to a reporter by an anonymous informant. Initially, the whistleblower explained in e-mail that he was disgusted by the crimes in BS, and he has something that could expose these crimes. With the purpose to help to punish the bad guys from BS, he wanted to reveal this file. But he is scared because these people are in deep connections with the police.

The e-mail was sent to a few more lawyers, but eventually only Bang received the file (on USB) with the chat and attached folders with photos and videos. When Bang saw the content of the chat, he instantly realized that everything is true and there are really big crimes. He immediately sent the file to the Anti-Corruption And Civil Rights Commission (shortly ACRC). This happened on Feb 22nd, 2019.

Kang explained that she (or rather, SBS FunE) also got a copy of that e-mail. When they saw the chat's content initially, they hesitated to publish it. They talked with an expert who told them that the file has a hash code - some kind of protection, that means the file is not forged. Also, they compared their copy with the file Bang received and as they were identical then it's proved to be the holy truth! And they decided that there is no problem to publish it!!

All this sounds so childish that I'm shocked how it is even possible people to be tricked by such a stupid and obviously false explanation! But probably because it comes from a main broadcasting company as SBS and a lawyer who is supposed to know the laws and to be rightful. And the public fell in the trap!
