After a month, this story (Burning Sun assault case) was getting boring for the audience. But then, on February 26th, the media published "Seungri Chat", as they initially called it. In the beginning of the scandal (Feb, 2nd), Dispatch published chat between the BS directors and MDs discussing the illegal sex filming of their clients, drugging female guests or looking for drunk women for bringing them into the VIP rooms, etc. So the public assumed that this is the same chat - Seungri's business chat = BS chat.

And this caught the public's interest again. The chats were racy and dirty. It was directly involving Seungri and his friends. They were talking about prostitutes. Media said, "This is how SR is making business. This is how BS is created". Seungri, Mr. Yoo and his friends (it was rumored that there are other celebrities, too) are arranging sex parties for their investors and hire prostitutes. They even mention the name of an actress! In fact, JH mentioned the name of the actress and that she is New York, but his words were unrelated to the other part of the talk, and he didn't comment anything else about the party they planned or about the prostitutes or so. It was like words cut from some other talk and pasted into this talk just to catch the public's interest. And this immediately increased the views and the clicks of all broadcasting and web media.

SR and his celebrity friends, the actress, the investors - all this turned into the main news, into the top search with millions of speculations. This was much more interesting for the audience than the crimes of the nameless BS staff A and B and police officer C. And no one paid attention to such a small detail - the alleged prostitution mediation is not about BS, and it's from the end of 2015 (!) not the end of 2017. And these celebrities are not that VIPs from BS.

That's how the bridge between the BS case and the chat was built. The next few days, media revealed new chats - Seungri and friends are talking about police protection of their business. Someone reported Seungri's bar for some irregularity, but Mr. Yoo settled it calling to the "police chief". The media's appeal to the public was, "Look how BS is connected to high rank police officers". Everyone wanted to know who's that "police chief".

As the word they used in the chat is not an existing police rank, all kinds of speculations raised. Here, for the first time, appeared lawyer Bang - the person who represents and protects, by all means, the whistleblower. And Bang called the chat a terrible example of collusion between the financially powerful entertainment business and the public authorities - "Korean mafia". He was talking ambiguously, never replying directly to any question, but generating and aggravating the speculations.
